Circa 1995. So while in Seattle I played percussion for PLG towards the end of their career. I collected 2 timbale drums, bongos, hi-hat, a ride cymbal, tambourine and some wood blocks. So Chris (who played in PLG) & I lived together and well, did music. The timbales were placed on the floor as kick drums. I then rigged up the rest and we jammed on some tunes. This is a 4-track recording of that effort. In the previous PLG blog I may have slanted my opinion on Chris’s sound. What can’t be denied is his song writing talent. This project was fun, and I think rocked out the more familiar “Chris” sound at that time. For me, I knew after playing on this percussion kit, it was time to move on to a real drum set.
